CAR PROFILE

Registration

You must register to participate in all the great features and benefits CarCrazyCentral community offers. Registration is very simple, but here are a few tips to help you along the process:

• I'm a - this is your profile type (as in the type of Car Crazy person you are) so the community can recognize you easier. Click on one or more than one [Collector, Enthusiast, Restorer, Shop Owner, Historian] that fits you the best.
• Opt In for CCC Updates - check the box if you want to receive emails from us and our sponsors regarding exciting automotive news and information.
• Be truthful during the registration process so the rest of the Car Crazy Central community will be able to search for you and find you easier.
• After you have completed registration, you'll be sent to your main profile page. Here's a brief explanation of your profile page, followed by some details.
  • Along the left side underneath your member profile image is information about you. You'll notice that your Member Information contains your registration information. This information is displayed so other community members can connect with you easier.
  • In the center of your main profile page is a summary of all your images, videos, blogs, and comments.
  • Up at the top navigation bar are tabs that link to details or the full page.

Bio

Your Bio allows you to share a little more detail about your passion for cars with the Community. Answer the questions and let other members get to know you a little better. See FAQ for help with bio modifications

Videos

You can post videos on our site, each can be up to 6MB. To ensure all of our members can see your videos, we use our leading and proprietary conversion process that allows any user with Macromedia's Flash Player to view your videos. Click on [Vids Pics] and follow the easy instructions to upload a video.

Pictures

You can post an unlimited amount of pictures to your personal profile page. To ensure technical accuracy, we automatically convert each picture to the appropriate size for you. Note: your first picture post automatically becomes your profile picture.

Car Profiles

Car Crazy Central allows you to upload up to 6 car profiles for you to showcase. Here you can upload images of your cars and explain what you have done in terms of upgrades, modifications, restorations and more.

People Say I'm Car Crazy because...

This section exists for you as a user to show just how Car Crazy you are. Use this section to talk about and show pictures of your garage, car clubs you attend and highlight events you participated in and anything and everything that made you catch the Car Crazy bug.

Friends

Your Friends is a group people you talk to a lot. You add members to your Friends by going to their profile page, and clicking, "add to friends". This feature provides you with an easy way to connect with people faster.

Block User

CarCrazyCentral is dedicated to making your experience in our Community the best it can possibly be. So, as a member you have the ability to block users who abuse the system. See FAQ for help with blocking members.

Blogs

Your blog is your personal web log. A blog is a personal journal on your profile page to capture all the exciting stories about your Car Crazy life and share it with the world. If you’re restoring a car, taking part in a race or a rally, or simply want to share your stories with the world, your blog is the perfect place to share.

Comment

A comment is just a " hey, what's up" you can make on another member's profile page. All posted comments will be displayed on the member’s profile page under Latest Comments once the member has approved your comment.

Messages

Messages are like email, however it is CarCrazyCentral’s private email system. It's a way for you to connect with your fellow community members of the site, privately. Please, treat every member with respect and follow the Community posting rules at all times!

Calendar

On you profile page, you have a calendar tool that allows you to update an event that you participate in or plan on attending.

Profile Personalization

CarCrazyCentral does offer the ability to customize your profile beyond the simple color tools we provide in the Bio section. For those members who know a little HTML and would like to put code in your profile we have created an area that you can add code. Simply paste the string of code into the [Background color, Dark color, Light color] area in your Bio section.

YOUR ACCOUNT

I forgot my password

Click [Forgot your Password?] on the Log In page. You will have to enter the email address you used to register your account. In a few moments you receive an email and you will need to follow the easy instructions to create a new password.

I forgot my username

Your username for CarCrazyCentral.com is the email address you used to create your account.

Change my personal information/bio

On the left side of your profile homepage you have your Member Information. At the bottom of Member Information you can Edit Profile. Here you can modify both your registration information and your bio. Click on [Edit] next to Registration Info or Bio. Once you have modified your information, click submit.

Change email address

On the left side of your profile homepage you have your Member Information. At the bottom of Member Information you can Edit Profile. Click on [Edit] next to Registration Info. Under your Email Address is a link to [Change Email]. Click on the link, change the email to your new email and click submit.

Change my password

On the left side of your profile homepage you have your Member Information. At the bottom of Member Information you can Edit Profile. Click on [Edit] next to Registration Info. Under your Email Address is a link to [Change Password]. Click on the link, change the password to your new password and click submit.

Change my profile picture

Each time you add a new picture to your profile, there is a “check box” option next to Profile Picture. If you want that picture to be your profile picture, check the box before you click Preview.

Is CarCrazyCentral.com free?

Yes! Every feature and function you currently see on the site is FREE. In the future, CarCrazyCentral may add paid Premium Services.

Turn off my email alerts

On the left side of your profile homepage you have your Member Information. At the bottom of Member Information you can Edit Bio. Click on [Edit] next to Bio. At the bottom of your bio page you can check the Yes box to turn of email notifications. Once you have checked the box click submit.

I want to delete my account

If you wish to terminate your CarCrazyCentral Community account, click [Edit] next to Registration Info on your profile page. Click on the link [Remove your account]. Your page will refresh to a delete confirmation page. CarCrazyCentral.com has now permanently deleted your account along with any media (videos and photos) and all other information pertinent to your email address.

REPORTING ABUSE

I want to report abuse

CarCrazyCentral.com is provided for the ethical use of car enthusiasts all across the world. To review the Privacy Policy and the Terms and Conditions, please click on the link at the bottom of the page. If you wish to report inappropriate content, underage activity, spammers or more, send an email to abuse@carcrazycentral.com. The CarCrazyCentral staff will evaluate the report and take immediate action, if necessary.

Block a member

If you wish to block a member inside the CarCrazyCentral.com Community from being able to comment on you profile or send you a message, simply go to that member’s profile page and click [block].

Report a copy write violation

If you believe that your work or another’s work has been copied in a way that constitutes copyright infringement, please provide CarCrazyCentral.com's Copyright Agent with the following information:

1. An electronic or physical signature of the person authorized to act on behalf of the owner of the copyrighted work;
2. A description of the copyrighted work that you claim has been infringed;
3. A description of where the material that you claim is infringing is located on the carcrazycentral.com Site;
4. Your address, telephone number, and email address;
5. A statement by you that you have a good faith belief that the disputed use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law;
6. a statement by you, made under penalty of perjury, that the above information in your Notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on the copyright owner's behalf.

GROUPS

Join a group: To join a group click Groups on the top navigation bar, locate the group category your group is in an click on it. Find the specific group you want to join and click on that group. Click [Join]. You are now part of that group. To confirm, you can go to your profile homepage and view [My Groups].

Invite a friend to a group

To invite a friend to a group, go to the group you would like to invite that friend to. On the left side of the group header bar click on [Invite]. You can now check the boxes next to your friends you would like to invite to the group and write them a message. Note: you can only invite your friends to a group. To invite someone who is not your friend, add them as a friend first and then invite them to a group.

Leave a group I have joined

If you wish to leave a group you have joined, go to [My Groups] on you Profile Page. Under the Groups Joined section, click [Delete] next to the group name you with to leave.

Delete a group I have created

If you wish to delete a group you have created, go to [My Groups] on your Profile Page. Under the Groups Created section, click [Delete] next to the group name you with to delete.

CLASSIFIEDS

I want to post a classified

You can post a new classified from either the Classifieds section on your profile page or going to the main classified page in the Community. If you wish to post a classified from your profile, go to [Classifieds] on you Profile Page. Click on [Add Classified] on the header bar and follow the instructions from there.

I want to add pictures to my classified post

To add a picture to your classifieds, you have to first create a new classified by following the Post A Classified instructions. Once you click Submit for a new classified, a message prompt will tell you that you may now add pictures to your classifieds listing. Click on [Add Existing Pic] or [Add New Pic] at the bottom of your new classifieds posting to add your picture. A thumbnail is a smaller version of your uploaded picture that you want to display as your main photo for things like Classifieds listings and Car Profile. If you would like a specific picture to be the thumbnail picture, simply click on [Make Thumbnail] below the picture.

I want to edit my Classified

To edit a classified listing you posted, go into the Classifieds section of your profile page, find the classified listing you wish to edit and click [Edit] for that listing. You may now edit your classified and your classified pictures.

I want to delete a Classified

If you wish to delete a classified listing you have posted, go into the Classifieds section of your profile, find the classified listing you wish to delete and click [Delete] for that listing.

PICTURES/VIDEOS

I want to add a picture

To add a picture, click on Vids [0] Pics [0] on you main profile page. In the header bar, click on [Add Pic]. Note: a picture needs to already be on your hard drive in your computer to add. Click the Browse button and find the picture you want to post in your computer. Double click on the picture. That link is now posted in the box next to Browse. Add in your title and description and click the Preview button. Note: click the check box if you want this picture to be your profile picture. A preview will be generated, and if approved click the Submit button and your picture will automatically be added.

I want to edit a picture

To edit an existing picture on your profile, click on Vids [0] Pics [0] on your main profile page. Click [Edit] under the specific picture you would like to edit. Once you have made your edits, click the Preview button and follow the same instructions you would when adding a picture.

I want to delete a picture

To delete a picture, click on Vids [0] Pics [0] on you main profile page. Click [Delete] under the specific picture you would like to delete. It will ask you if you are sure you would like to delete. If you are, click ok and your picture will be deleted.

I want to add a video

To add a video, click on Vids [0] Pics [0] on you main profile page. In the header bar, click on [Add Vid]. Note: a video needs to already be on your hard drive in your computer to add. Click the Browse button and find the video you want to post in your computer. Double click on the video file. That link is now posted in the box next to Browse. Add in your title and description and click the Submit button. Your video will begin uploading to our server, depending on the size of the file and upload speed of your connection, it may take several minutes to upload your video. Once uploaded you will be redirected to a page letting you know that the video is queued to be processed and will give you an estimate of how long until your video is accesible on your profile.

I want to edit a video

To edit an existing video on your profile, click on Vids [0] Pics [0] on your main profile page. Click [Edit] under the specific video you would like to edit. Once you have made your edits, click the preview button and follow the same instructions you would when adding a video.

I want to delete a video

To delete a video, click on Vids [0] Pics [0] on you main profile page. Click [Delete] under the specific video you would like to delete. It will ask you if you are sure you would like to delete. If you are, click ok and your picture will be deleted.

CAR PROFILE

I want to add a car profile

To add one of your vehicles to your car profile, click on [Cars] on your profile page. Then, click [Add Car] on the main header. You may now select the year and make of your vehicle and fill in the other information fields. Note: to add a picture to you car profile you must submit the text first. Then, a message prompt will tell you that you can now add a car profile picture. A thumbnail is a smaller version of your uploaded picture that you want to display as your main photo for things like Classifieds listings and Car Profile. If you would like a specific picture to be the thumbnail picture, simply click on [Make Thumbnail] below the picture.

I want to edit a car profile

To edit an existing car profile, click on [Cars] on your main profile page. Click [Edit] next to the specific car profile you would like to edit. Once you have made your edits, click the Submit button to complete your edit.

I want to delete a car profile

To delete an existing car profile, click on [Cars] on your main profile page. Click [Delete] next to the specific car profile you would like to edit. If you are sure you would like to delete, click ok.
